On double-sided work
A screen with no wrong side

The floss is split to a sixteenth of a strand and worked straight through the silk, so the reverse is as finished as the front. Both images are built in the same sitting, from memory. This is why a double-sided screen may stand in the middle of a room rather than against a wall.

Where it will stand

A double-sided screen is not hung. It is placed where light reaches both faces — on a console, a shelf, a desk.
